The AM PRO-1 is a comprehensive air-chain audio processing system tailored for AM radio stations. It features adjustable input pre-filtering (low-pass and high-pass) to pre-condition audio, preparing it for aggressive ‘brick-wall’ low-pass filtering later in the chain. The processor includes Audessence’s renowned Automatic Gain Control (AGC) to maintain consistent program levels. Additional features include program compression, limiting, pre-emphasis, and clipping to optimize loudness and coverage. The unit also offers enhancement features to brighten and clarify the program material. Adjustable low-pass filtering meets various international broadcasting specifications, including ITU and NRSC standards.
