PL-12
PL-12 is an optional accessory for GR2. It is a wall mounted remote control, offering the non technical operator control over music source and level. A single PL-12 can control both zones or a second PL-12 can be added to control the second zone.
The PL-12 is not compatible with the iDR PL-Anet range of wall plates and digital installation products.
PL-12 REMOTE CONTROL
- The GR2 uses standard RJ45 CAT5 cable for installation. ‘Zone remote’ allows remote level and source selection for both zones over a single cable. A 10V DC control input is provided for custom wired switches or potentiometer, third party interface or the ALLEN&HEATH PL-12 wall plate. The PL-5 hand-held IR controller is available for use with the PL-12. ‘Utility remote’ allows remote mic priority and mute switching, page selection and alarm override.
- PL-12 is an ‘intelligent’ remote controller. It provides the non-technical operator with local control of the music source selection and/or audio level. Up to two controllers may be connected: just one, one for each zone, or a single unit to simultaneously control both zones. A menu of setup options allows the installer to configure its function to match the specific requirements of each application. Additional switches may be wired for room combining situations and to disable the controller when the settings should not be changed.
- The optional PL-5 hand held infra-red remote controller adds wireless control, and additional features including the store and recall of up to 4 source/level presets. PL-5 has 14 user programmable buttons. These would typically be programmed by the installer as a combination of volume up/down, signal mute, source, preset select or MIDI messages for convenient control by the day-to-day operator.
- The PL-12 can be mounted into a single unit wall box using the standard face plate provided, or furniture mounted using a cutting template. It interfaces with the GR2 using standard CAT5 cables. The second controller daisy chains with the first for convenient single run cabling. Space is provided on the panel for custom labeling.
