Description
Controller unit is from the late 80s and I believe it was originally designed to control synchronizers for audio to video, specifically the CDI SHADOW II. Might be a useful device for someone looking to create a DIY transport or controller of some kind, but sold as / is.
A blurb from that time about the SHADOW II:
"The new CDI SHADOW II'" synchronizer/ controller with universal transport capability knows how to control virtually any audio, video or film transport on the market. Completely redesigned to reduce cost and increase reliability, the CDI Series features an improved time code reader, an enhanced code only master, RS- 232/422 interface control, master record -in, and a more powerful microprocessor. And the all new SHADOW Il'" performs with even greater versatility, yet is completely compatible with its predecessor. The SHADOW II'" provides the ultimate in production flexibility for complex edits. And it's affordably priced for today's professional."
Features
- Allows full control of one SHADOW II synchronizer
- Allows independent transport control for both master and slave transports
