Description
The CPS-2000 is an external console power supply unit. The power supply includes a link cable.
The CPS-2000 is linear power supply, which produces DC voltages by rectifying, smoothing and regulating AC voltages from the secondary windings of a mains transformer. The CPS-2000 also has the capability to of being linked to a second CPS-2000 to provide automatic power backup in the event of one of the units failing. Two fans are incorporated, which draw air over the heatsinks to provide adequate heat dissipation from the regulators and reduce the outer case temperature. The CPS-2000 is designed for installation in a 19" rack unit, occupying 4U of rack height. An LED indication is provided on the front panel to show operation of regulating circuits and a digital voltmeter is monitors the mains supply voltage.
